These instructions assume that the iPhone to be set up is on IOS 10.x. For other IOS versions, the instruction are similar, but all the various accounts are grouped under "Settings" -> "Accounts & Passwords" or "Settings" -> "Mail, Contacts, Calendars"
Email (IMAP) Setup:
- On the iPhone, tap on Settings (this is the gears icon), then on "Mail", then on "Accounts", then on "Add account" and finally tap on "Other".
- Tap on "Add Mail Account"
- Name: "First Last" (as it will be shown to mail recipients)
- Address: "email address"
- Password: "email-password"
- Description: "Company name" (this description is to distinguish this email account from another)
- Tap on "Next"
- Make sure IMAP is selected.
- In the "Incoming Mail Server" section:
- Host Name: "mail.domain.com" (domain is your company name or domain)
- User Name: "email address"
- Password: "email-password" (is already populated from the previous page)
- In the "Outgoing Mail Server" section:
- Host Name: "mail.domain.com"
- User Name: "email address"
- Password: "email-password"
- Tap on "Next". It will verify your account for about 10 to 20 seconds.
- Tap on "Save" to finish.
You should be able to tap on "Mail" on the Home screen to access your email.
Calendar (CalDAV) Setup:
- Go back to the "Settings" level, tap on "Calendar", then on "Accounts", then on "Add account" and finally tap on "Other":
- Tap on "Add CalDAV Account":
- Server: mail.domain.com (domain is your company name or domain)
- User Name: "email address"
- Password: "email-password"
- Description: "Company name" (this description is to distinguish this calendar account from others)
- Tap on "Next". It will verify your account for about 5 seconds.
- Tap on "Save" to finish.
Contacts (CardDAV) Setup:
- Go back to the "Settings" level, tap on "Contacts", then on "Accounts", then on "Add account" and finally tap on "Other":
- Tap on "Add CardDAV Account":
- Server: mail.domain.com (domain is your company name or domain)
- User Name: "email address"
- Password: "email-password"
- Description: "Company name" (this description is to distinguish this contacts group from others)
- Tap on "Next". It will verify your account for about 5 seconds.
- Tap on "Save" to finish
Calendar and Contacts Setup via Airsync (Exchange)
For the users who use Outlook on their computers/laptops, a MAPI connector has been added for them in Communigate Pro and therefore both the Calendar and Contacts can by synced via an "Exchange" account.
- On the iPhone, tap on "Settings", then on "Calendar", then on "Accounts", then on "Add account" and finally tap on "Exchange".
- Initial settings:
- Email: "email address"
- Password: "email-password"
- Description: "Company name" (this description is to distinguish this account from another)
- Tap on "Next".
- Server: mail.domain.com (domain is your company name or domain)
- Domain: domain.com (the domain name)
- Username: your email address without the "@domain.com"
- Password: already populated
- Tap on "Next". It will verify your account for about 5 seconds.
- De-select the "Mail" option and leave "Contacts", "Calendars" and "Reminders" selected.
- Tap on "Save" to finish.
